Titanium Platforms. Introducing the "Magnum Ti"

Titanium Platforms. Introducing the "Magnum Ti"

We are adding a new Titanium Platform to our lineup. Introducing the new MAGNUM Ti. These are TIG-welded and come in three color options. A perfect option if you are on the track or hitting the trail. A larger footprint than any stock footpeg to keep you comfortable and locked into the bike.

Titanium is a strong material that can really take a lot of abuse. This also comes with some enigneering limitation. Just because your footpegs are made of Titanium does not mean that your bike's frame is. Taking this into account, we dont want you to damage your frame or rip off your mounting tabs because your footpeg puts to much load on it. This is why our platforms are mounted to the bike with bolts. These bolts allow us to engineer a failure point. So when you hit that unmovable object your tatanium footpegs dont damage your non titanium frame.

We heat treat our bolts and batch test to make sure they meet our precise requirements. This means that our failure point is consistent and repeatable. This takes the guesswork out of the system and you have less of a chance the welds on the bike or footpeg failing.

Two bolts make up the mounting hardware on each platforms. The bolt threads are engineered to stripe before more damage happens to the platform or the bike. You can easily keep a spare set in your pack. When the bolt thread stripes it will not damage the mount threads so you can always thread a fresh set in. As mentioned above, by using bolts that we can heat threat and test, allows us percision tuning of the failure point.

We also make wedges that fit inbetween the platform and the mount. If you want to add more negative camber to your footpeg you can simply insert the wedge. This will add about 4 degrees of negative camber to your footpeg. Tilting it up and into the bike for a more aggresive riding postion.
